Ice House Reservoir Area Campgrounds
Ice House Reservoir campgrounds are at about 5,400 feet in elevation and are usually open from Memorial Day weekend through mid-October (some to November 1). Single sites are limited to 1 vehicle and 6 people. An extra vehicle is allowed for an additional fee if parking space permits. Trailers are counted as vehicles. The reservoir is 12 miles north of Highway 50.
Ice House Reservoir's 678 surface acres are a popular destination for anglers. Water skiers, jet skiers, and just ordinary pleasure boaters enjoy the lake. The 3-mile long Ice House Bike Trail runs along the shores of Ice House Reservoir, passing by all the campgrounds. The west end of the trail connects to roads around Big Hill.
